Robert’s life began on October 20, 1946 in Eureka, KS. He was the son of Robert and Maxine (Williams) Hartley. Robert’s family moved to California in his youth and he is a graduate of Excelsior High School in the Los Angles area. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life and he owned the carwash in Marion for a few years. Robert loved to fish at the County Lake and attending his grandchildren’s activities. His greatest joy was his family which includes his children Rob Hartley of Marion and Vicki Kay (Michael) Williams of Marion; grandchildren Blake Crawford of Wichita, Seth Crawford of Wichita, Falon Crawford of Wichita and Quade Williams of Marion; sister Rita Dunlap of Mulvane and many friends. Robert passed away on June 25, 2020 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon Farrington. His family will gather with friends on Saturday July 11th at 10 a.m. at the Marion Cemetery for his memorial service led by Pastor Jeff Lee of the Aulne Church.
