WOODBINE - James Michael Clute, 68, SGT Retired US Army, departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born on May 3, 1951, at Alpena, Michigan, the son of Estel and Ann (Hutzek) Clute.
Served in Vietnam retiring from the U. S. Army, Fort Riley in 1998. Graduated from high school in Alpena, Michigan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed woodworking
Married Brenda Lewis-Marzolf October 5, 1991, at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Preceded in death by a nephew and his parents.
Survivors are wife, Brenda Clute of Woodbine; two sons, Trevor Clute (Casey) of Topeka, KS, James Clute of Oscada, MI; a daughter, Jessica Clapp of Houma, LA; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Eli, and Alice; sisters and brothers of Michigan, Margaret (Daniel) Doherty, Mary (Norbert) Rickelmann, Virginia (Richard) Frank, Robert (Sally) Clute, Donald (Mary) Clute, Douglas (Patty) Clute, Cynthia (Nicholas) Rupas, and thirty-three nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends at the Woodbine Fellowship Hall, 2:00pm until 3:00pm, Thursday, January 9, 2020. Burial will follow with military rites at the Woodbine Cemetery.
