Evelyn's life began on July 29, 1934 in Marion, KS. She was the daughter of Clyde Fredrick "Fritz" and Henrietta "Hank" (Conyers) Richmond. Evelyn was a member of the Marion High School Class of 1952. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" H. Bredemeier on March 15, 1952. Evelyn helped her husband Dick, with the Phillip 66 service stations he managed as his bookkeeper then went to work for 25 years at the Sterling (later Pfizer) Pharmaceutical packaging plant in McPherson before retiring. Dick and Evelyn loved to camp and were members of the "Marionettes" camping group at various lakes in the region at least once a month. They enjoyed camping with their good friends in South Central Colorado. Evelyn enjoyed backyard barbeques with relatives, cooking, gardening, and in the early years of their marriage, she repaired and refinished antique furniture to furnish their home. She was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary Shoppe and Eastmoor United Methodist Church, especially preparing lunches in the kitchen. Evelyn was close to all her cousins, siblings, in-laws, and their children. She moved to the Marion Assisted Living and then to St. Luke's Living Center for the last 20 months of her life. Evelyn passed away on February 17, 2021 at St. Luke's Living Center.
